i had my fuel pressure regulator replaced after warranty. did not get whole fuel pump replaced, just the fpr. about $50 for the part, about one hour labour at independent mechanic, not too bad. He specifically ordered just the regulator from Nissan dealer for me. I delayed replacement as long as i could by pumping gas pedal madly while cranking, but i didn't want to be stranded either so i just got it done. Hope it helps! 08v
