Hi All!
Bought our 2014 Versa Note SV in December and we really like it. Great City car and great mileage on the freeway (doing better than 42 mpg!!), I don't even drive like a Grandma!
We live in Desert Hot Springs, CA in the foothills. I was afraid the CVT wasn't going to be able to zip up these steep streets very well. I WAS WRONG. Very zippy car and I just love the dynamic styling. I am a HUGE fan of the first generation NOTE (available only in Japan, Europe and the UK), when the new Note came out I fell in love! Nissan North America "Versa-fied" the Note hatchback for Canada, Mexico & the US. Cheapening the finishes of much of the interior. The front grill was also changed as well as the side-wing mirrors with turn signal repeaters. My goal is to replace the front grill and side view mirrors with 2015 SR parts to make my V-Note look externally like a UK model. I've tinted out the car and added an Alpine Amp and speakers to the stock CD Stereo w/ a Bass box. It sounds better than an Infiniti system, now!! The bluetooth system in the stereo works great so I didn't want to mess with it...
Luckily, our V-Note came with 15" Sport alloys and optional rear spoiler. Perhaps later I will tune it for better handling as well as convert the rear drum brakes with disc-brakes.

Welcome to the forums! I really like my '14 SV as well. I won't get to the "love" stage until I can afford to get the fog light kit and custom rims/tires. Great little car though. I've never gotten below 31 mpg, and my best was around 34 mpg.....but I probably drive a little more aggressive than I should. :grin

Excellent choice and welcome!

I also have a Note SV for about 5 months now and I'm still impressed by it. I only have less than 3000 miles and I've noticed that the CVT works a lot smoother than when I originally got it.

Please share some pics when you get the chance.

Hi Slapshot! Thanks for your reply ;-)
That is how I felt about mine---lol!!
Had the fog-light kit installed at my Nissan dealers service center. The kit + install came in under $300.00. So I went for it! I do quite a bit of night driving on windy, dark desert roads, so the fog-light kit was a MUST. Whole desert lit up with those things---LOVE it! When my stock tires wear out, I would like to upsize the height and width of my tires on the Sport Alloys that came on my car. Once the payments are over, down the road, I will move up to a 17" set of Alloy wheels and low profiles...Probably black with red stripe accent. That is my plan, anyway! Once you do your mods, post some pics, OK?
PEACE---

Definitely! It'll be a minute before I make those mods though, as the whole point in buying my note was to save money, not sink more money in via mods. :wink
Although I'm sure temptation will get the best of me....it always does when it comes to my vehicles.

Howdy jas32! Was posting a reply and just saw your post.
I started an album in the gallery section. I have more on my camera that I have to import. Pics of the Alpine aux Bass Box, too.
I now, LOVE my Versa Note---unfortunately, I now have a crack in my windshield from a tiny chip from road-strike debris (the worst part of living in the Desert!). Wind, wind and more wind! Good thing my car came with Desert Protection Finish package. :) After our trade in ($3,000), we got the True Car price on the car and only had to finance $13,400.!!!
Feel very lucky to have gotten so much new car for so little money! GO NISSAN!! (Now, bring us the MICRA!!!)

know exactly how you feel there, i used to work out in the desert hot springs area myself and have family in Beaumont and the way the wind kicks up the sand out there it's like having your car sandblasted everyday, im up in orange county now though so dont have to worry nearly as much as i used to about my windshields and paint lol, glad you are liking the car though and you are another prime example of the difference between the way an actual consumer feels about this car and the way so called "automotive reviewers" view it :)

SLAPSHOT, keep in mind that the fog light kit includes a variable time intermittent front wiper control, which I dearly wanted and consider as half of what I was payed for.

I installed the FL kit myself (which was a bitch to do, but it turned out great BTW) and posted some pics on this forum. I also saved about $100 for installation, which is actually a bargain considering what I went through installing it.

NixVNoteSV, just saw your pics. Love the white, but I got overruled by the "boss" so we ended up with silver. It's her car after all (at least until the snow arrives).

Looks like you got a good deal. I got the VPP discount and its appears close to what you paid for.
