That's what mine does. Service manager tells me that it's the brake system bleeding off pressure. I've never had a car bleed pressure from the brake pedal before and I tell him that. He asked me to start the car, put it in Neutral and press hard on the brake. It starts sinking slowly towards the carpet like usual. It gets about to the same height as the clutch pedal when it's depressed fully. I release, he has me do it again. No change. Then he tells me to shut off the engine. Then I press on the brakes and they stay there. No sinking at all. He told me that if the master cylinder leaked, the pedal would get soft when the car's not running. The brakes work fine in traffic. I'm not at all concerned about how they act when I need them...but I've never had a car with a brake pedal that does that.
