After taking my versa to the dealership I was told it needed a wheel hub, bearing, axle and a gasket to seal an engine oil leak totalled $3,600. So i decided to do it myself! I started with the wheel bearing I ordered the left bearing. Its my first time ever doing a wheel bearing replacement! Thus, I need help. I took it off and took the wheel hub to a shop where they took it off and pressed it in. I was told the hub was good. I assume the axle was good Since it just looks good until I got home all excited to put it back together I noticed that the hub and axle might not be sitting right. That's what brings me here. Could anyone please let me know if I can keep going with the install or if it doesn't look right.

$3600!!!

I assume what ever oil leak they want to address requires removal of the engine for the cost to be so high?

In terms of your pics, I can't tell if there's anything wrong there. Is the axle seated all the way into the knuckle?
