Rear bumper cover removal

Hey everyone. Was curious how difficult it is to remove the rear bumper cover? Also, do dents pop out of the bumper cover easily? My wife has a mean looking dent from hitting a barricade while backing out of the driveway. Wanted to see if I could make it look better before going through all the insurance stuff. Thanks for your help!

I wanted to paint my back lip so I followed the instructions Bleach36 posted and it was very helpful and easy. It takes about 15-20min. to remove it. I have a sedan but it looks like the procedure is pretty much the same for both the sedan and the hatch so good luck and keep us posted.
