clear coat?

I have a white 07 hatch with 47,000 on it and the clearcoat seems gone dunno I kept it washed and waxed but now it seems like the paint job is shot. My wife drove 80 miles a day on the freeway if that has anything to do with it.

Where did you wash it at? Dish soap has the tendancy to remove wax and could possibly remove clear coat if done enough times. BTW, where are you coming from?

You may need to clay the car then wax afterwards. Try that, it should restore the lust and smoothness to the clear coat.

Good to hear that.. sounds to me like the clear coat was starting to oxidized. Glad to know about this for future info.
