Interesting Video

I've seen that video several times before. That's the biggest reason why I wash the car myself at home.

 Same here. I had never seen the video before, but I ALWAYS wash my car myself. In the winter I never take it through the auto wash. First of all, they are expensive AND half of the time it doesn't wash the car. I'd rather have it dirty, then have it scratched.

This video makes me want to go buy brand new sponges, and chamois and get rid of the ones I have at home. I think this weekend I'll buy some at your American Wal-Marts. I'll be in P.A. shopping.

Why not stop in New York, isn't Buffalo closer to you?

We are going to shop in Grove City :) = No tax :) We are going to the outlets in Grove City on Saturday, and stopping in Erie on Sunday and shopping there for the day. We are heading up Friday afternoon so that we are there for 48 hours, and can then claim $400 plus alcohol.

And yes Buffalo is a lot closer, just over an hour drive. Not much to do/see in Buffalo after going there week after week for school. Plus when we go to Buffalo we just usually go for the day, and when we do that means we can not claim any purchases. If we do, we could pay duty on it. Although we have gone numerous times across for day shopping trips, and never have been made to pay duty. They are usually pretty good when we come back. The only thing they will generally make you pay duty on is liquor. Other than that, your pretty good to shop for a day and pay nothing.

Sounds like a bit of a drive, not sure where Grove City is located.

The Western US is much different compared to the eastern half, it's a bit of a culture shock perhaps. You'll have to see for yourself when you have the time. Definitely check out the Grand Canyon in AZ and some of the parks we have in the mountains of CO. Do you like camping, hiking?

Grove City is in Pennsylvania. It is a hot spot for Ontario shoppers as there is no tax on clothing and other necessities. Here in Ontario we pay 13% tax on basically EVERYTHING! It sucks ... that is why a lot of Ontario residents drive that extra mile to go there once a year or so ... I plan on getting some Christmas shopping done :)
It's between 3-4 hours of driving for us. It really is not that far.

And I'm definitely NOT a camper. Tried that whole sleeping in a tent thing in the woods with bears once, and it was not very fun. I liked seeing the moose but I did not like the fact that there was no warm shower, bathroom, or kitchen nearby. I will most likely not repeat camping outdoors again unless it is in a fully decked out RV ! :) haha!

I do though love being outdoors. I would rather sit outside than be inside the house. I love nature ... just don't like sleeping outside in the middle of nowhere though.

Oh no! the poor cars with the scratches! It makes me cringe! I live in a apartment building so I usually take the car into the do-it-yourselfer (unless I feel like visiting the 'rents and using their hose). I ALWAYS skip the brush - I can just SEE all of the little stones and pebbles hiding that foamy brush. Ew!
