2010 Versa - Vibration / Buzzing Coming from Passenger-side Rear Near Fuel Tank
Any ideas on what could be causing an intermittent buzzing or rattling noise in the rear passenger side directly next to the fuel tank. This noise only occurs when idle, once gas is applied the noise stops. It doesn't happen all the time either. Its happening on a 2010 Versa S.
The car has 115,000 miles on it and I haven't had to replace anything fuel related. The noise does not affect performance or driveability. It does not stall or hesitate like you would expect from a fuel problem. I just don't know if the noise is a precursor to a part on the verge of failing. Is there a part that connect to the fuel tank that could be going out? The noise occurred when the car was in my garage this evening so I was able to get underneath the rear of the vehicle and hear where the noise was coming from.
