Car now has about 35,200 miles on it. Took it to the dealer again on Friday. Technician drove it and neither he nor I heard any noises. Typical "happens only when I drive" moment. I forgot to mention in my first post that the CVT was replaced because it was slipping. When the auxiliary gearbox "shifts" at approx. 25 mph, the engine speed jumped from 1,250 RPM to about 2,000+ RPM, and then gradually goes back down.
Anyways, a few days prior to that, I opened the hood to check my oil level and smelled what I thought was coolant. I opened the cap in the coolant reservoir and it was almost empty, well below the "Min" line. I didn't see any leaks or any coolant on the ground. The technician from last Friday didn't see any leaks either. He mentioned that it's possible that the coolant was drained when replacing the CVT last November and that they forgot to refill the reservoir with coolant when they finished the CVT replaced. They filled the reservoir with coolant last Friday (although it is now above the "Max" line) under warranty (no cost to me).
Last thing was that starting about a week and a half ago, I noticed a "bump" or "click" when turning the steering wheel, as if something was getting caught inside the steering column. I could hear a faint "click" as well. This happened whether turning left or right. The technician felt this as well. They have ordered a steering wheel assembly (according to the invoice they gave me, the part price is $526.60 plus $2.02 for a nut) that will be covered under warranty; no cost to me. The dealer should receive it on Wednesday. I took the car back and will bring it back to the dealer when they receive the assembly.
