2010 Nissan Versa Camshaft Bracket Removal

Howdy y'all - first post here and I'm in dire need of assistance.

I'm working on a 2010 Nissan Versa 1.8L. This thing had a MAJOR oil leak that was never taken care of and I'm pretty sure the seal between the cylinder head and the camshaft bracket is the culprit.

I've taken off the intake manifold, the spark plug boots, spark plugs, the valve cover gasket, and all relevant bolts to the camshaft bracket and even broken the seal between the bracket and the cylinder head. This thing will not come off.

Am I missing something? Do I need to remove the actual camshafts themselves to get the bracket off?

The valve cover above the bracket is where the leak usually is, the bracket is glued down to the head and rarely leaks, there is no gasket.

One look there should tell you the bracket MUST come off before the cams can move, they will pop up out of place when the valve springs push them up as the bracket is removed. The service manual says the cam sprockets have to come off first before the bracket and meaning the front cover and all timing chain comes apart. In a world of hurt there and why you guarantee the valve cover is not the leak before you go that deep.
