i use mobil 1 extended but MR motors eat up oil. i was told that my piston melted and a rod broke or something.

MR20DE swap, AEM CAI, DC Sports Exhaust, NTD Throttle Controller, Tanabe Springs, DC Sports strut bar, Tenzo Type-M wheels, Hankook R-S3 tires

just to throw out some more info, mine was a 2007 motor as well, and it took a shit on me at about 66k miles

Damn, #1Tango, TireKicker, and now you? Whats causing these engines to die so fast? They're only 5 years old.

my only guess is late oil changes, my parnets sometimes went 5-6k with out a oil change.

and heavy car use, um the ticking was always there

yeah a little bit, they got em usualy on time, just sometimes they went over.

and highway miles by far, my dad works 45 mins away all highway, and recently he would get home and my mom would take the car and go 20 miles,

car has 89,250 i think
