Want to add keyless, power locks to 2016 Nissan Versa

Hi, I just got a brand new 2016 Nissan Versa S, automatic. It has manual locks and manual windows. I don't mind the windows so much but with putting a toddler in the car the manual locks are annoying.

I saw many people doing it themselves, but I'm not that savvy. Any way could I buy the kit and the dealership install it, or I could buy the kit from the dealership? Or is it much easier than it seems?

Thanks in advance!

I just completed this task for the same reason. I occasionally drive my nephews around and they never lock their doors.

The installation wasn't terribly hard, but it wasn't easy. You'll have to understand some basics regarding wiring and some extremely basic mechanical knowledge. It took me approximately 18 hours to complete. I had some help from my dad and my brother in law. I'm sure I could have completed it faster if I had their help from the start.

The hardest part of the install was fabricating brackets. The brackets that come with most power door kits are too short to go all the way across the door frame opening.

I don't recommend adding adding a power lock to the rear hatch (assuming you have a note). It's nice having a fail safe way of entering the car should the aftermarket locks fail. My power lock kit allows me to unlock the car with a key, but my doors do not lock with the key. I believe the kit caused too much slack on the power lock cable.

Did you ever add it? How much did it cost?

I don't understand how you could even add PDLs on one not equipped with it from the factory, unless what you are installing is so "aftermarket" it runs totally independent of the body control module, etc. What I'm getting at is adding pretty much anything requires specialized equipment for programming.
