Rostra Cruise Control 250-9508

I purchased this open box online for about 200 bucks. It seems to be plug n play with just a box and a bunch of harnesses. The problem is it looks like it came with generic harness and a nissan versa plug n play with pass through connectors. The universal connectors have leads you tap wires with. Then you have connectors you wire up the buttons for. Ok, I understand the connectors and pins for the buttons since I do not have a stalk.

It looks like i have leads to run for power, then I have a passthrough odb2 connector that also taps that for power. Do I need to tap the accessory ground and use the odb2 harness?

I just got it in the mail and ripped through the instructions. Just want to make sure I know what I am doing.

Found a video of the installation of a cruse control for the Rogue. Looks like they use both the power leads and odb2 power lead. Looks like Ill quit complaining and just install it as the directions indicate.

I'm jealous! I want to add cruise control to mine really bad. I will fork over the money and do it eventually. Any helpful hints or pics/video you take I would like to see (for when I do mine). I am going to have a great time when I do mine I'm sure because I already added the remote start + security/door lock box and its ball of wires under there. adding in one more box of wires will be just great I'm sure =D

Just watched the video. Strange he did not connect the long ass purple VSS lead nor the interloc for the brake switch. He basically showed how the box needs to be power twice like I questioned. Power by way of the odb2 connector, then power by the lead in the steering area and ground by the brake pedal mount.

Yeah, always a lot of "fill in the blank" with these instruction videos it seems. Hence why they are not projects for beginners or the faint of heart (or the lacking of a spare vehicle). I'm sure you will figure it out tho.

Checked with a pimp my ride type store. They said 4 hours, 250 bucks to install 7 wires.

Gonna be too hot this weekend to get my huge fat arse under the dash board.

Yeah, Im sure it will work. Just search ebay, amazon and you can find deals. I got the one with dash mounted buttons vs a stalk or bluetooth steering wheel mounted buttons.

My siideick uses dash mounted buttons on the right side, so Ill copy it.
