Manual tensioner to auto?

Can a automatic tensioner be used on a 2012 versa 1.6 instead of the manual tensioner....reason for asking is because i took my car to a shop awhile back to get the ac serviced..well went to replace the drive belt and noticed as i was unloosing the bolt that the bracket had a decent crack in it...so now I'm not sure what to do since i cannot find a replacement bracket....please help...

Automatic tensioners commonly use a different bracket than manual so you are sorta kinda in the same boat there too.

Possibly, depends on how convoluted the part is and where the crack is located.

Of course, I'm guessing it's not too bad since it was still functional.

OP you can also call around and see if you can find a junkyard willing to separate one from an engine.
