Question Reverse Sonar Stopped Beeping

Hello all,
My girlfriend's 2007 Versa hatch recently stopped making the beeping noise when backing up. I read people with similar Nissan's suggest it may be the buzzer, but I can't find anything about where the buzzer might be located on the Versa.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

I could not find any information about your 2007 versa having a factory installed backup buzzer. I have a 2009, and 2012 versa sedan, and to my knowledge there is not backup buzzer installed in the car, nor mentioned in the owners manual. I did find one youtube on a Nissan Quest with such a factory installed device, but not for you model.

Check Nissan Reverse Backup Sensor Fault Code (2004 - 2009) - PART 1 - YouTube
Yeah I found that as well... So the back up sensor is aftermarket?

That's really strange. It has the sensor buttons on the rear bumper matched to the factory paint and everything. It also seems to have an aftermarket alarm but no key fob, maybe the two are related.

At any rate, I think I can sort it out just knowing the modification is aftermarket by looking at spliced connections and such.

Thanks for the feedback!
