Steering wheel shakes when I brake

The last few weeks my car has been shaking more frequently (I understand I should have gotten it checked out earlier but with my work schedule + financial restrictions, it's difficult). Every time I use my brakes above 50 mph, my steering wheel shakes/rattles until I get to around 40 mph. I would like to know what could be the issue or potential issue(s)? It makes me worried that there may be loose parts within the car that I am not aware of. Any help would be appreciate..worse comes to worse, I will call off of work and schedule a time to see the mechanic and not work until my car is finished. Thank you.

My car: Nissan Versa, 2011 - Sedan

Sounds like a warped brake rotor.

Need to replace both rotors and pads.

Could be a fault in the Steering wheel's shaft.

You should seek immediate help for brake issues if you are not handy or can at least check your lug nuts to make sure they are tight.

+1 on warp rotor. They need to be machined or replaced. Cost about the same.
