Difficult starts

Hi, I have a 2012 versa SL hatchback. Since two days I have difficulties starting the car after long rest period.(overnight, after work) Once started, work fine and restart are normal right after shutdown.
First try is like dead battery.(hard time to turn and speed decrease) Second try, like dead batttery again. Third try, engine speed slowly increase but does not start. Fourth try, engine start.

Battery is 12.3V overnight and alternator is 14.3V when engine run.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for any help

Steve

How old is the battery? Over 5 years it should be replaced.
Also clean the battery terminals and make sure cables are tight and are in good shape.

As mentioned by another poster, your battery may need to be replaced. You may have a bad cell that will still give you 12 volts when you test the battery with a multi-tester with no load on it. Good luck

+1, could be bad terminal connections to bad or low battery. Any auto store can test remaining capacity and charge of a battery. Sometimes a loose terminal can cause that. Can you wiggle the red or black battery connection?

Now do you smell gas when you park your car? Could be a leaking injector causing fuel to leave your fuel system when you park so new gas has to be pumped up from the tank til enough pressure is built up in the system and the air is removed.
