Accelerator issue

2007 Versa S 4 speed auto
128k miles

Codes
U1001
P1564
P0500

The issue I'm having is the throttle body barely opens when depressing the pedal.

I completed the relearn procedure multiple times.

If I delete the codes the 1001 and 1564 come up immediately when I re read them. The 500 only comes back after driving.

If I start the car and immediately rev the engine it acts normally for about 2 to 3 seconds then goes back to barley opening.

I've replaced the throttle body and pedal with the same results.

The code 1564 is weird because the car is not equipped with cruise.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Why are you spending money on TB parts without a TB code at all?

Maybe wiring harness issue (U1001) or speed sensor and not TB at all, it may not be fully opening due to car being in limp mode.......maybe a module gone bad there.

They were junk yard parts that I was able to take back.

It's called process of elimination.

Not where I come from...................the TB if not working right posts TB codes almost instantly. A safety thing, ask Toyota.

'If I delete the codes the 1001 and 1564 come up immediately when I re read them.'

The 'immediately' is telling you those are HARD faults that need to be fixed first, they may well cure the last one too. You have a device to device communication issue there it appears.

Yours and do as you will. Based on the TB logic though, you have a lot more parts to switch out yet since it had nothing to do with your codes.
