Unhappy 2008 Versa no antenna hookup?

So I'm installing a new stereo in my 08 Versa S, and I saw I had to get an antenna adapter for it. Funny thing, when I wire it all up, there's nothing to plug the adapter into. Can't find the antenna plug at all. What do?

Check the instructions for the unit you purchased and see if it is comparable with your vehicle. The original unit in the car if there was one, must have had an antenna attached, so you have one end of the puzzle. Now all you have to do if find out if the new unit you purchased has the input for said antenna.

From looking around it seems like the previous owner just decapitated the antenna plug and left the two wires that were supposed to run to it. Explains the weird connection to the previous aftermarket stereo that was in the car. I'm thinking I can just connect those wires to the one on the adapter and use it that way.
