7 years from Coolant?

Car: 2014 Nissan Versa SV.

Looking through the manual, it said that coolant do not need to be flushed for 7 years or 105,000 miles. Can you actually not replace coolant for that long or has there been reported issue with that engine recommendation.

Subaru used to recommend that the CVT fluid would last the life of the car, this turned out not to be true.

I myself am doing the 105,000 miles interval, i'm currently over that (108k), but I'm waiting for warmer weather to do the work.

When coolant wears out it starts to be come acidic.

Keep an eye on the color of your coolant, and if it start to change color, then changing it early might not be a bad idea.
There are also test strips (like for a pool) you can by at an automotive store to check your fluid.

If you flush and do not remove absolutely 100% of the flush you start off acidic as the flush is acid.

Old school green coolant that they say is good for a year is even good for as long as 4 years, I've run it that long in many cars and that was before the longlife type showed up. Zero issues doing it.

The longer life type if OAT can be worse, it does not even begin to control corrosion until it has been in the car for 6 months, and I have had corrosion issues due to that. Why I run the older stuff, instant protection right out of the bottle.

Look at the color when you first put it in and the then determine how much it changes, if it does then time to switch it. The problem I had with longlife was that it began to change color in like 3 months.
