Once I turn my AC in my Versa it will keep blowing normal air and it's not cold, I took it to various locations to check the AC, and they all didn't know what was going on , the pipes are freezing cold, the compressor is working and there is no leaks but they don't know what's wrong with it . One of them said something about the blend door having a problem but he don't know what to do with it.
On of the mechanics at an auto service centers told me there is a problem in the blend door , that why I assumed that. Do you suggest something else Sir?
Yusuf, can you feel cold A/C air in any of the dial positions, such as w/s defrost? I'm not familiar with the blend door situation with the Versa specifically, but have repaired and troubleshot others. Normally, if the a/c system is working, you should feel it in some positions, even with a blend door problem.
If the refrigerant level is below about 2/3 or so the system may ice the pipes but still not cool the evaporator enough to feel cold. At low gas the only cooling is right there local at the restriction.
From what I can gather the air mix or blend door is a pain to get to. There is a diagram half way down the page showing the heating and cooling system.
The door is part #38 there but there is a link to it shown on driver's side of the HVAC box that cuts a water valve off and if not working you would have heated air there when not wanted. Somebody needs to check the #31 link and make sure it is turning the water valve at heater core off. What the line off pic of link is going to on the core. Heated water will overpower a/c cold air every time.
