Question cruise control

Hello, I want to say thank you in advance for anyone willing to answer this. I want to add cruise control to my 2016 versa, I have already figured out that it will need to be aftermarket and that's no big deal to me. The question is, is the factory cruise switch an open circuit? if its an open circuit I can wire it to the aftermarket cruise instead of the car itself. again, thank you for any help.

Because ANY electrical system missing part of its' parts to not work would be an open one. Only a closed system can possibly work, electricity tends to work that way.

Maybe you need to modify the use of your english there to further explain it. Maybe it is a cruise thing we do not grasp.

Thanks amc49, I am just going to purchase a new switch and wire it to the aftermarket cruise kit and hope for success. I was told by the manufacturer of the after market kit that the switch would have to be an open circuit, So I was just hoping for a quick easy answer. I think it will work, and if you would like I will let you know once it is installed.
