A/C Issue?

2016 Versa S 5 speed manual. I noticed the other day driving home that my A/C would blow cold with the fan on the #3 setting and on the #4 setting. So cold that I had to turn it down to #2 on the fan. But I noticed that after selecting the #2 fan setting the A/C would start to blow warmer. Not hot but warmer. If I switch back to #3 or #4 on the fan the A/C would blow cold again. I did this about 4 times and the results were the same each time. I am in Texas where the temps have been 100 degrees with heat indexes of 105 to 110. I understand this is a small car. But I am concerned there might be an issue with the A/C. I have another month and a half on the warranty and wanted to ask here first before I go to the dealer. Only seems to occur at highway speeds at around 70 mph.
Can someone else in a hot climate check their A/C and switch between high and the #2 setting? I do have recirculate on. Anyone think this is just the way the car is? Or is it abnormal? I will probably take the car to the dealer. But wanted to check with the forum also.

You know I never even checked for a cabin filter to be honest. I asked my salesman on the test drive and he said the Versa S does not have one. Shame on me for never looking for one. I think I'm going to take the car to a dealer anyway. The other suggestion to test drive another Versa is a good idea. I drove the car today around town and played around with the settings. Around town it doesn't do it. And this is what I have noticed all along. All settings cool the same. It only seems to be on the highway when the engine is being pushed. (70 to 75 mph)

Thank you. It sounds as if there is something wrong then when I am at highways speeds and turn the fan setting to #2 . I can mention the "wide open throttle" issue to them. I can understand if I get into the throttle to pass or something. It makes sense. But this is happening just cruising between 65 and 75 mph. I usually don't drive my car above 75 mph since it likes to wander about too much at those speeds. Hard to keep it going straight. Small car and skinny tires I guess.

Sorry if I missed it above, but does the A/C ever blow cold on fan setting #2 ?

Yes it does. Only starts blowing warm on #2 after I have been cruising on the highway for 10 minutes or more. The car first did it when brand new on a road trip. Then it hasn't done it for the past 2 1/2 years. Just started again. Today I took it up on the highway and it worked perfectly. I'm still going to take it to the dealer to document it. But unless it messes up while there they won't be able to do anything.
