front airbag sensor

Just repaired my 2010 Versa. Everything back to normal except the airbag light keeps blinking. Have replaced the clockspring, had crash computer reset and seatbelts rebuilt and replace drivers airbag. Was wondering if the front senor needs replaced. Have repaired many Toyotas and Mazdas and never had to replace the front sensor on these. Anyone know if Nissan's front sensors are that fragile? Thanks

Did you crash the car? Normally if airbags are deployed the car is totalled

Its very easy to reset the light. https://www.nissanversaforums.com/how...bag-light.html

thats the how to. Don't be afraid to try it several times. It took me 3 or 4 to get it just right. And that light will start flashing anytime you unplug the airbag sensor while the battery is still connected to the car. (many people have this issue after installing aftermarket stereos)

i dont think he totalled/crashed the v, probably just some other issue. Especially since i've seen that he's also having an ABS error as well (saw his other thread). But def try the airbag reset like athikerguy4life stated has worked for a lot of other members including myself

I crashed it hard. It would be totaled by some standards I guess. BUt it still ran so I fixed it. Only had liability ins. This is why I got a couple lights on. Been driving it and everything works great.

Was the frame bent or twisted? Ive heard professionals say they wouldn't touch an airbag cause it would never be right after it blew. Anywho, more power to you.

versa

no frame on these cars. The horns were striaght. high hit. ran and drove after wreck. Just trying to find someone that has messed with these sensors. I have worked on Toyoatas and the sensors rarely need replaced. But I don't know about Nissians.

a final update. Got the airbag light out today and all systems are back to normal. Scanned the system and the codes B1050 and B1055 came up. Says something about a short in the drivers airbag. I took the airbag off and to my surprise one of the connectors was not snapped into place fully. it was on there but the little black snap was only about 2/3 on. Hooked all back up and light was still on BUT went and followed the reset procedure on this forum and the light went out. Thanks everyone who helped. I wanted to post my results so maybe someone who runs into this problem will find this info useful. Thanks again.
