DRLs

I want to have my fogs running as my DRLs. Has anyone done this?

Its not hard. Just wire them into the drl relay instead of the headlights. Or even better, relay them from the ignition on wire, then they will be on any time your car is on. Although you will look like a ricer.

I like the look of having the fogs running as the DRLs, like the Muranos.
I'll have to look into it next time I've got the car apart.

The thing is, on muranos, they are driving lights. Not fog lights. Same as some model years Ford Windstar.

They could get away with it as they are higher vehicles so they meet the minimum height for drl's set out in the HTA. Not that you would get hassled over it.

I'm gonna try it out. Most of my friends use their fogs as DRLs and none have ever been pulled over or questioned about it. And their cars run much lower than mine, lol.

I guess the simplest thing you could do would be to just pull the drl fuse (its in the panel infront of the battery) and just leave your fog lights on. Only thing I'm not sure about is I dunno if you have to have your headlights on to have your fog lights on. My car didn't come with fogs so I wired in the switch by itself. That would be pretty easy for you to do to, just wire the existing relay for your fog lights into a different switch, so you wouldn't have to turn your headlights on.

My brother is going to be wiring in my seats in a few weeks so I'll have him look into this for me. Just wanted to see if anyone else had done it yet.
