2013 Versa Sedan update

There's not a lot of info on here about the 12+ sedan 1.6 cars so here goes my brief review...

Purchased my 2013 versa S sedan in late 2012, ordered it onyx blue with the 4spd auto not the cvt. kept oil changed every 4k, have not serviced coolant or trans, just oil change with Nissan filters and an air filter every 30k. Cheap tires every 30k.

Car has 108k as of today and runs great. I've driven it 80-100 miles a day in the southern heat, usually 75-80mph and it has never missed a beat.

My concerns as a mechanic throughout my ownership include: rear drum howl when cold, engine tap when cold, dash rattles when cold outside, strut squeak when wet, heat shield broke through stud at 30k. Car still has original battery and brake pads although its about due for a good service.

I paid $14,250 for it and have gotten 100k trouble free miles out of it and will soon try to sell it simply to upgrade since gas is cheaper now.
Just wanted to say these are great starter/commuter vehicles and are pretty good quality to be a subcompact.

Glad to hear it is holding up with that mileage! Though I wish yours was a CVT so I could see how that held up.

I bought mine brand new in 2012 and have about 35k miles on it and haven't really had too many issues with it besides the heat shield and an awful Nissan dealer. I switched to full synthetic at 13k miles and mine still has a loud tapping when cold which is normal and I believe it is just the cold and noisy timing chain.

A guy I work with bought a similar one with cvt and his trans quit and was replaced under warranty at 32000.

I'm glad I got the 4 Spd but over 80mph you can tell it doesn't want to run any faster.

Just keeping this thread up, I have decided not to sell the versa due to low offers I can't justify letting it go. I'm shooting for 200k in it but really don't see that happening.

At 113,000 now and it's about time for brake job and spark plugs I can tell.
