Some newb dad info requested

Hello Versa enthusiasts,

My college-attending daughter just purchased a 2010 Versa from her grandmother. I, personally am a VW guy, so this whole Nissan thing is a bit of a jolt to my system. That being said, the girl who now owns the car means an awful lot to me and since I will be the one who performs the service on this car and I dearly appreciate what help you, as a community, have to offer.

Question one: The car's badge says only "Versa". What is it? / Which engine, etc. It is a traditional-style automatic, not a cvt. Otherwise, I do not even know what engine it has. Pleas advise.

Question two: I now have to buy tires. The tires on it are P185/65R15 86H. I am a bit shocked at the "H" rating. Is that he factory recommendation?

Thank you for your help,
--- Tom

Hello Tom and welcome to the forums! I'll do my best to answer your questions.

1. What car does she have? Judging from your description I think you have the 1.6L engine in the sedan model? One step up from the base model. Unless the car doesn't have air conditioning then you have the base model.

2. OEM factory tires? 86H doesn't seem unreasonable. See THIS THREAD.

Welcome Tom!

Is your daughter's Versa a sedan or hatchback? If it's a hatchback, she has the 1.8L mr18de engine. If she has the sedan, then she may have either the 1.6L hr16de or 1.8L mr18de engine..we'll do our best to help you figure it out. Search around the website when you have a chance, there's a boatload of information on here!

Enjoy Life.

if the tire size listed above are the stock tires then she has a hatchback with the 1.8 liter MR18DE engine.

205,125 miles when she was given away
35 mpg last tank
