Black wheels? They'd look perfect on my silver sedan. LOL

Did the grille peel off or something?

Something they are doing is going wrong!

I want to drive his BMW one day (and not just up and down the driveway) haha! Maybe since I detailed it for him, he'll let me drive it one day around the neighbourhood or through some farm roads. That car has got some serious power!
a lot of rust problems with mazdas has to do with the way they were cared for and how well people waxed them (did they get around the badges, etc)

i'm from ohio where rust is a big issue and i know a lot of people with older mazdas (miatas and proteges) that still look nice

our mazda will probably only rust where our stone chips are (we need to get some touch up paint ) but our car is always garaged and never driven in the winter....

Unfortunately the rusting is happening on ALOT of Mazda's here. The badging is screwed on (unlike our Versa's) and the rust has formed around that area. His car was rust proofed numerous times and yes he did care for it. It also started to bubble and rust around each rear tire well. His friends have brand new Mazda3's ... (some of which are now 2 years old) and they are ALL rusting in the exact same places as my brother's Protege.

The Mazda is now his winter car since the BMW is only driven in the summer. The Mazda is just his daily driver now. As long as it gets him from A to B, he could really care less about it's appearance. I'm still going to detail it for him to bring back some of it's life, lol ...

I take extremely good care of my Versa for the reason that I don't want it rusting. I still have 8 years left of the rust warranty through Nissan so hopefully if it's going to rust it will happen before then. I think the Mazda started rusting at 4-5 years old ... :S And my brother had his car rust proofed almost every year ... I need to get mine done again very soon. My cousin said he would do it for me

We carefully looked at other Mazda's on the road today and sure enough they were all rusting around the wheel wells, just like my brother's. I'd be pretty upset too if it rusted. I would definitely have to fix it and remove the rust.

Today I drove my Versa across the border and back home ... Now I can say I've participated in an American & CDN graduation!

More than half the students there today were Canadian students. LOL!
