Initial Impressions of Versa Note

Picked up my 2017 Versa Note SV yesterday and so far am loving it. I'm finding the ride to be very comfortable, the pickup / acceleration to be what I expected, and the car to be a lot quieter than my 2004 Matrix XR was.

I've never had a CVT before and am loving the smoothness of the drive

When I picked up the car, the average fuel efficiency read 13 l / 100 km; now with about 100km of my driving in the city it's up to 8.1 l / 100 km. I'll get a good idea this weekend as I have about a 350km (round trip) highway trip to take my wife to her mother's for the week

Only thing I'm missing is all the storage options the Matrix had; the console between the two front seats with two seperate areas; the small compartment in front of the gear shift; the small storage area between the steering wheel and the door.

Console

Very common complaint. Check ebay and amazon. There are several available at very reasonable prices (and easy to install). Several threads here on how to install and what they look like when in place. If I had a temp gage I would be a totally happy camper.

Try to change the oil on that CVT every 50,000 kms. My Versa loves Mobil 1 EP, you can try that and any other full syn.

Just back from picking my wife up; a nice 265 km round trip mostly highway driving. Filled up with 14 l of fuel. That is 164.7 miles and 3.70 US gallons; 44.5 mpg (US); 5.28 l / 100km!

Also picked up WeatherTech floor mats, since I was driving right by the Canadian retail outlet.
