How to: Disable A/C on with defrost

I understand that having the A/C on with defrost clears the windows faster in some weather conditions, but I wanted to decide for myself when to use it.

Nice!! I have been wondering about this. I hate the HP loss from needing to defrost the windshield...

Hit the AC button.

2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 5dr. 6speed.

TEIN Springs.
Takeda Short Ram Intake.
DC Sports Cat-Back Exhaust.

That may work on your 2011 but on a 2009 the AC is always on when in the "defrost" position no matter what you do with the AC button unless you disconnect the switch like I did. Now the AC button works like one would expect and the way I want it to.
