Replacing Stock Radio With Navigation Unit

Hello All!!!

I am interested in replacing the stock radio that came with my 2010 Nissan Versa 4D Sedan 1.8L. I called my local Audio Express and they quoted me 1k to replace my radio with an aftermarket Kenwood navigation system.

My question is, can I just go buy a navigation system that the upgraded version of my vehicle came with off ebay and throw it in, or is it a little more complicated than that?

This is the navigation system I was interested in: https://tinyurl.com/hmqanqr

I assume there is a little more to it than just ripping out the stock system and slamming in the new navigation system. That coupled with the fact that I have steering wheel controls for the stock radio makes me suspect that it wount be a easy or even possible swap, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Anyone know a thing or two about this? Thanks is advance!

Can you wire, solder and follow directions plus ask for help when needed?

Crutchfield.com is pretty good with parts and tech support for DIY. If you are a DIY guy you can use them for research then buy the parts elsewhere.

I am looking at an apple play radio refurbished on ebay for 500 bucks.

Another NOT WORK SAFE website for audio adapters, wire colors, etc is https://installer.com/ I do not know why they added all the shapely anime girls to their site.

You mean an Apple CarPlay radio? Why settle for a refurbished radio? You could get a brand new CarPlay Sony XAV-AX100 radio for the same price.

Wow, prices dropped that much since I looked? Yeah, Id get a new one at that price unless the refurbished ones are even cheap.

Yeah, Im for deals. I dumpster dive for coupons, scrap metal and stop to pick up old yard tools and stuff people leave out for the trash man. I dont eat food from the garbage.
