Running power cable for amp from under hood?

Not sure how to word this and searching didnt help much. Trying to find a way to run a zero gauge cable from inside the passenger compartment to the battery under the hood. Looking under the hood its a rather cramped area looking at the firewall. I tried looking up under the dash, but they got it equally crammed with stuff including the power steering motor. Boy our knees will hurt if we get into a front end accident to say the least.

My previous car I ran the wire between the fender to under the hood then along the gasket near the hinges of the driver side door and along the driver side edge on the floor to the rear.

Id like to piggy back an existing hole or make my own.

Guess I can remove the radio again and look back there?

Looking on youtube I see one guy drilled behind the glove box after removing it. A guy with an altima found some existing harnesses with room to spare in the upper wheel well or behind the hood and gas lid release inside to route a wire. Im going to pull the door gasket back, floor mat, carpet and plastic pieces by the hood and gas lid release and dead pedal and see whats back there.

Back in the day when I was young and really stupid we use to run the wire up into the engine bay, then outside under the vehicle to the trunk and drill a second hole in the trunk to route the wire inside. The first hole was to drain water from when your cooler spilled over and you got a trunk full of water.

Hello, i just ran some 8 gauge through the large rubber grommet that the main harness runs through. It is slightly above and left of the clutch pedal. Its large enough that i was able to punch it with a hole punch and fish it right through. It is very easy to get to if you remove the airbox. Also i was able to run the cable a short distance to the battery. Nice and clean. I have a 2011 Hatchback if it helps.
