Ashtray for 2015 or 2016 versa note

Hello everyone. I decided to write this for those of you who Are Smokers and have had the same dilemma as me. The new cars are designed to Not be Smoker friendly. I have had me 2016 Versa Note S+ for nearly two months now and have been seriously burdened with the "Where to put it" scenario and the "Is it safe there" scenario. I have now come up with a solution Here it is:

Buy 3 generic butt cans. I purchased mine at Walmart for @ $1.88 each. Then buy a tube of two part epoxy (Walmart automotive- @ $3.79).
1. take the first butt can and remove lid, then fill the inside (as much as possible) with sand or rocks (for weight), then glue the lid on.
2. Place the second butt can on top of the first one , offset it so it is only about 1/3 on the other (see pics) and glue it in place. (super glue does not work well on this type of plastic).

3. Once the two are cured and glued together, take the top off of the top butt can (discard it), then put the third butt can inside it.
it will only go in @ 2/3 which is ok. Place the ashtray setup in the lower cupholder on the drivers side just under the dash console. You can now rotate it to get the angle just right. It will be a nice height (even with bottom of dash) and sticking out between dash and gear shifter. Easy to reach, safe, and easy to locate while you are driving day or night. Because the top butt can is sitting loosely inside the other, it makes it very easy to remove and empty.
I hope this helps.....took me a while to get this sorted out!

Nice little idea!

I say just vape. No ashes or butts in the car, car won't stink, you won't lower the value of your car, you won't have to roll the window down in frigid temps and best of all your car can smell like a bath and body works.
