Nothing is more brutal than the pendulum scene in Saw V.. lol

But anyways I just watched it last Friday. It's a good movie. I LOVE the Saw movies. I watched the first one when it came out and I hated it because I thought it was just stupid but the second one made me watch it again and I fell in love lol.

Anyways this one reveals some new things that have happened in the earlier Saw movies (even from Saw I) and it also shows/tells you why some certain people did what they did in the other movies. It's great, the ending was ok, but it is set up for a sequel (which starts filming in Jan 2010). The sequel can be good unless they make it up to be some stupid revenge movie.

These movies distrub me based on the fact that all torture and killing devices are based off of real inventions that people used on each other in the Dark Ages. I don't like being reminded of the violence that we can sometimes ignorantly place upon each other. Other than that the premise of the movie is excellent.

Give a man fire, he'll be warm for a night. Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

An apple a day, thrown hard enough, will keep anyone away.

Not looking foward to this one, unless its the last from the series. I disliked the last one because of its enloooooongated story. One too many and not enough context in the characters. Hopefully this is the last one. I did see Paranormal activity today, not impressed also.

I heard it's not last of the series unfortunately. Originally hoped part three IS THE LAST. There will be a Saw 7, they need to just kill the series, be gone with it!

They said they will keep making Saw until it stops selling..

I love Saw.. I wish it would last forever. It's a great series of horror movies. Just like Nightmare on Elm St and Friday The 13th.

Saw VII will be out October 2010.
Starts filming Jan 2010.

What is the underlying premse of this series? I saw the first and stopped after that. I don't go to the movies much.

I just watched Fast & Furious (the 4th) in the theater in Japan on a rainy Sunday. It just came out here a couple weeks ago.

Saw is about a man John "Jigsaw" Kramer who was diagnosed with a type of cancer that was terminal. He attempted to commit suicide by driving his car off of a cliff and he failed. He had to pull metal out of his body to survive and only than did he stop taking his life for granted.

After this event he decided that he needed to teach people the lesson of life. His theory is that "you can only appreciate life once you have experienced a near death experience." He starts to put people in this odd traps where they have a CHANCE to live but they must sacrifice something to save their life.

Ex: In the 5th installment a man is strapped to a table under a pendulum that will cut him in half. In order for him to get out he must shove both of his hands in this device that breaks them or cuts them off (I can't remember which) and than he will be released from the table.
