Hello from Wisconsin. I just bought a new versa note and was wondering why the windshield washer sprayer does not spray very high. Mine will barely get over the wiper on the driver side and only slightly higher on the passenger side.
Welcome and to answer your question, that is normal operation for the sprayers on the Note as they have a wide spray pattern as opposed to just shooting straight up towards the roof of the car. reason being is that the way the windshield wipers are they sweep the windshield washer fluid up on to the rest of the windshield as they go back and forth, at least that is how i noticed mine function
may want to have them check it out then or check for leaks towards the left under side of the cowl when you are looking at the engine bay from the front as you should get a very wide full spray pattern out of the nozzles where the fluid comes out
I have a new Versa Note and I'm also living in Wisconsin. And I have the exact same problem. I have complained to the dealership a number of times and will soo be complaining directly to Nissan about it. I could sure use your help in whining my way to them forming a solution to this problem.
Check the hoses under the hood that lead to the nozzle. There could be a place where they are being squeezed, I had a similar issue recently and that was my cause for a weak spray.
This is the most frustrating thing on the car. I like my note. it has GREAT gas mileage - even in a Minnesota winter with warm up time. But, I am not looking forward to the melting season. These sprayers are HORRIBLE. I am so frustrated. I took mine to the dealership and they tell me they are not adjustable. This is a safety issue. They spray UNDER the wipers when I'm driving and barely above the wipers when I'm at a stop.
It needs a recall so that they can become adjustable.
I did this with mine a couple years ago, even though I have twin stream pattern, not the fan pattern. Took a bit of adjustment not to over do it, but was eventually perfect at all speeds. It needed adjustment when I went to single wiper, then back to double again. Let us know how it works, even though this is definitely a safety concern and Nissan would be smart to hastily rectify
We have purchased two 2014 versa notes my wife and i and they both spray fine. The problem some of you are having sounds like ether the washer sprayer pump assembly is not producing enough pressure, there is trapped air somewhere in the lines, a small leak in the lines somewhere or an obstruction in the lines.
i didnt think i was the only NOT having issues with mine lol
