2008 Nissan Versa Hatchback start up issue?

Hi guys, I recently purchased a 2008 Nissan Versa SL with only 29k miles and have recently experienced a weird issue with start up. Bare with me because I don't know much about vehicle terms and language! A few times a week I'll go to start the car and all the warning lights come up on the dash (service engine, E brake, low tire pressure, etc,..) on top of that, I try to put the vehicle in anything but park and it stays neutral. I can't drive or reverse. If I just turn the car off and start up again, it works fine and runs normally. I took it to O'Reilly's where they checked the battery, start up, and computer and there were no issues or red flags. I also made sure to check the oil which was also normal. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas of what it could be? The guy at O'Reilly's suggested maybe it was anti-theft. Like I said, I don't know much about cars but I'm trying to figure out if this is going to turn into a serious issue with my vehicle. Any suggestions or comments are welcome and appreciated!

Well I really hate to be negative but.......... Did you get a Car Fax on this vehicle prior to buying it. Unless you bought it from someone you know. 29 thou would mean that someone drove it about 3,000 miles/yr.

My guess is that someone did some serious electrical work on this vehicle at some point. Any chance you bought the car from somewhere that had flooded?

It's normal for all the warning lights to come on when the key gets switched on, the lights prove themselves out at that time. There would be something wrong if they didn't.

Are you sure the engine is running when you try to put it in gear? Far-fetched but you yourself said you were the rookie there.

You may be right about the engine not running. I'll make sure next time it does that

I did get a car fax on the vehicle. The woman who owned it before was located in south Texas and there very well could have been some flooding.
