Welcome aboard. Wow, a gen 2 prius to a V. I came from a 2010 Insight to a V with a 5 speed. I take it you were not injured too bad if at all? Ive been told hybrids hold up better in accidents due to the weight distribution with the battery in the rear and the extra beef to the frame.
Don't forget the cabin air filter. The older models did not come with one, but one can be installed. Also don't forget to flush the brake fluid. Seems a lot of the cvt tranny have problems. Maybe you can get an extended warranty on your car?
I'll catch the brake system next month, plan on getting a Pioneer AVIC 8201NEX Nav system at the end of the month with a backup camera. Thats why I am changing out the CVT fluid on Monday. My understanding the cabin filter is behind the glove box just like inside the prius. The car hit me from behind and pushed me into the SUV in front of me causing 14K worth of damage to the engine compartment. My prius at 192K was still on original brakes. I thing all cars should have regenerative brakes so the brakes could last that long
