Drivers Seat extension

Hello all!
Through no fault of my own, I have found myself driving a 2011 Versa Sedan. As I am over 6 and-one-half feet tall, my right knee is getting sore from contacting the AC control panel. I am contemplating unbolting the drivers seat and moving it rearwards about 2". I believe I can do this by fabricating some VERY strong extensions for the front and drilling through the seat rails in the rear. I haven't found anything on this in the archives, yet. Has anyone tried anything like this on their own car? Thank you!

I had a guy weld me up a set of brackets for a honda as he made a pair for himself. The 2016 V has different mounting points and hardware so it wasnt doable for me to put a couple of washers up under the front mounts to add some rake to the seat.
