New needing advice

I have a 2011 versa sedan, and just today my daughter destroyed the passenger side mirror nearly bouncing off a phone pole. (Apparently not the best winter driver.)

Looking to know how difficult it is to replace the mirror assembly. The lower part is still attached and nothing looks bent. Biggest challenge looks to be getting the inside of the door apart for access.

Pulling a door panel isn't that difficult. Make sure you have the proper tools first. Door panel tools are about $10 at Harbor Freight.
Haven't had need to pull the panels in my Versa yet, but normally it's 2 or 3 screws and remove panel(at least the cars I have pulled panels on).

Mirror bolts onto door from the OUTSIDE, the bolts are under the plastic outer cover over the outside facing surface of base of mirror. The cover pries loose from the bottom of it and apparently can destroy doing it as Nissan says to not reuse it. Inside door panel has to come off to allow the electrical connector to be gotten to.

Give up Bubba, there is nothing that will fit there. Actually, it can be done by EXPERTS but if you can't do any better than post an engine change issue in a mirror thread you got a long way to go getting there................you're looking at V6 in OEM form, no 4 will do that untouched.

You can look around for one of the new VC fours but at probably $10K each that'll be too rich for you.

Bye bye, this thread is not for you.
