Anytime you purchase a used car, you should have it looked at by a good independent mechanic to get an idea of the true condition of the vehicle. The car has a lot of miles on it, and you really have no way of knowing the kind of maintenance if any has taken place. If the car comes with a Carfax, it will give you some idea of ownership, accidents if any, and if the car was taken in for proper service. Be advised that even with Carfax, there are no guarantees that the information given is 100% accurate and up to date. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

$3000 is very high for a 2007 approaching 200K miles. I shopped a few 2010-12 Versa hatchbacks like this with mileage no more than 110K and the asking price was around $4000. I realize used pricing various by the area though. The cool thing about any vintage Versii is, they seem to hold up well in rust belt use, which I'm all too familiar with.
