Internet Explorer Issue

Good Morning Site Administrator

I'm using this browser for a long time, 3 decades. As I surf your forum, I monitor the memory increase in task manager. At the present it around 404 Megabytes which is normal. Once the memory usage is 1,498 to 1,535 Megabytes, Black screen of death appears. Only the green versa forum header is normal but, clicking on the links, like HOME, FORUMS, TOOLS, etc., doesn't work. It isn't an issue with me cause I concreter it as a memory leak from your ads posting. I'm just posting this minor bug with Internet Explorer.

How is your cpu usage? I wonder if they are mining cryptocurrency while you visit the forum? Me, I use a chromebook to cut down on bugs.

I agree, best bet is to invest direct to bitcoin vs trying to make it yourself unless you have access to tons of PC and can install the software or live with someone or institution and have access to free electricity.

Back in the day, most who profited from mining precious metals where the ones who sold equipment and supplies to the miners.

Hi there @redscarlett . Thanks for your message. We actually do not recommend that people use IE when using the forum as we've found that there are some quirks between IE and the software that the forum runs on. If you prefer Microsoft, you might want to try using Edge as a browser. Seems to work better with the site than IE.

Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Erik

Good to know. Back when I came of age I was a netscape navigator gold fan, but that later turned into firefox if I remember correctly. Firefox just rubs me the wrong way, but chrome was a much easier transition from IE.

I have a few plug ins too in chrome. I have one to save data, one to block ads, one for finding cheaper prices online and ebates that saves me money when I shop to name a few. Got a plug in to flash my banana pi computer, but only needed it once.

I've switch to Windows 10 fall creator. The bug with IE 11 is still occurring. So I'll use Edge for this forum. Thanks for all your help.

IE (including 11) is not recommended to use at all for security considerations. In Win 10 you can use stock browser Edge, or skip it all altogether and use some other browsers like Opera or Vivaldi (they both based on the Chrome engine from Google). You will not look back.

You can also try adding the forum to IE 11's "Compatibility Mode". Top right corner menu>Compatibility View Settings, and then add the site to the list. Might improve things for you
