This economy sucks!

I'm still having issues finding a job, I've been applying about 5 jobs per week within the last month, sending out my resume, no response. Boy this job market is pretty bad. I have a job, but doesn't pay enough. There's only so much I can do on my part. Seems like I'm just wasting my time and I'm about to give up!

I'm looking for a graphics design, CAD or 3D modeling software job around Denver or out of state. I need to leave my families home and get my own place to live, I'm growing tired of not having my own place. How am I suppose to move on if I can't get a good paying job and start out on my own? Student loans kick in February and I need to make at least $20 an hour minimum. That's not all the expenses I have.

This economy is a part to blame and hope it gets better. We've been in a recession for almost 2 years and things haven't got better. Seriously, somebody out there needs to do something about this recession or I will go ape schit.

I agree with everything you have said.

I am going through the same thing. I too am looking for a full-time teaching job.
And am paying back my student loans yuck, while still paying for the V.

These so-called government jobs created from the stimulus money, isn't going to help either. They're not helping out the economy much, only the government sector. Where else is our tax money going to, green jobs? What a bunch of balogna!

I'm willing to relocate where ever the jobs are at, Texas, Florida, Arizona, NC/SC, Georgia & lastly California.

Knowledgeable in 3D Studio Max, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator. There's still some things I need to brush up on, but overall know the ins & outs of the software. Need to learn Maya and Z-brush, I heard Maya is similar to 3DS Max. There's some stuff I modeled in 3DS Max like shelves, buildings, texture mapped objects etc. Also have .mov animations of a guy doing stuff like talking, walking, doing situps/pushups and lifting objects. My BS is focused on the art of games.

Currently working on a project of this character drawing a student made last year. Need to scan it and model it when I have some time.

Have a look at my 3D portfolio on my website (in my sig). That's just mt static stuff. I also teach 3D art and animation on a casual basis at uni here. Even with my l33t skills I can't get a decent job in that industry.

People don't understand the cost of 3D work, so they can't budget for it. That's why I went into web programming, it was where the money was heading.

I think the money will almost always be in Web Design.

The internet seems to be ALWAYS growing. It's a helpful places for nearly anyone. Everyone can find what they need on the internet with just a few clicks. So why wouldn't someone want their own webpage.

Also Web Design isn't TOO hard once you start to learn the basics.

Start off with some HTML and CSS.
It's also really fun because you can make whatever you want! There is no limits!
