Nissan Versa: $25k in Brazil

In Brazil, the price of a new Nissan Versa is $ 25,000.

Here we have high taxes and profits from resales to increase value.

What is the value of Nissan Versa in other countries?

carmax.com wants 10 grand for a S model a few years old with 50k miles, but most of us bought our S models new for under 11 g's.

US Price

Avis (or Hertz) has 2016 SV's with CVT with 22 to 35 thousand miles for between $11,000 & $12,000. Come with bumper to bumper warranty plus whatever is left of the Nissan warranty. Fairly cheap way to get an almost new car.

No I don't have any connection to either company.

Cool

I cant speak for those 2 rental companies, but I use enterprise rent a car. Ive cars from them twice with an oil change reminder on. The person just reset it using the buttons on the dash and told me not to worry about it. One was a nearly new car with under ten thousand miles on it.

Truth is cars extremely expensive anywhere in the world except for EU, US and JAP. Reason for that is that they are not being produced there, that's why there is usually a lower quality of cars in Brazil or South America at all, because not many people can afford them earning few times less salary and paying for the same car a lot more than in US. In my college days I've lived in Peru with my friend from DSRLeasing and I gotta say, literally most of people couldn't even afford a car with the cars so overpriced. Not to mention that average salary of ~500 USD can't help you getting a nice ride either.

My gun metal 2017 S was $9897 out the door (all taxes etc). I did get $500 off just because of who I work for.
