When I've done an oil change at home I buy the filter from the dealer. It is under $8.00 and you are guaranteed a correct fitment. But any filter of the same size should work.
+1 i DIY with synthetic too. Instead of using Fram filter #6607 i use longer filter #7317, also for Nissans such as Frontier etc. No Fram issues at all:spiral:You can go into any autoparts store and look up your year and make of vehicle in the book where the oil filter section is and find what filter # you need under what brand of filter. Make sure you look to see what enging size you have in your car. I've only had the Versa for 6 months and have been going to the dealership for oil changes only because i bought an extended warranty and don't want any questions if i need to file a claim but tomorrow i will be chaning my own oil from now on and i'm going synthetic. I can change my own oil with synthetic and still be cheaper than what the dealership charges for dino oil.
