i know there is not currently a 1.6 CAI on the market, i'm thinking of making one, in fact, its going to happen soon. is there any interest in this? or is it something i'll just be doing for myself
cool if you can mandrel bend a 3 1/4 aluminum pipe that would be nice i think its a 3 1/4 then just put a thick rubber gasket to act as a damper where the bolts going to be
I think someone used a AEM CAI on the 1.6L... not sure how it turned out but I just remember reading it somewhere. Maybe someone else will have more info for you!
i got a buddy with a specialty tube shop, i don't think its 3 1/4, the throttle body looks much smaller. i'm going to measure tomorrow and start working on it, probably going to take a few weeks, i'll post pics of progress as it happens
it doesnt really matter how big the inlet is as long as you keep the rubber connectors so measure the ID of the rubber connection then make sure the OD of the pipe will fit the ID of the Rubber Connection
