What is the best solution for this problem? Over $300 at the dealer for a new muffler and NAPA can order but takes 3 days to get. Is there any rework or kits available to fix this? Adapter pipe with a couple of clamps?
if the flange at the back as rusted out your best and cheapest solution is to go to a muff shop and have them weld a pipe. Should cost about $50 and will last you another year or two. I have done this to several cars.
I don't suggest the clamps because by the time you bought all the clamps and a pipe your almost up to what the professional can do. Plus less change of leaks if weld new pipe.
