Hi All! I hope someone out there can help me with my rear bumper. The sides sections (both sides) of my bumper cover have pulled away from the body section above. I thought maybe some clips had let go. the dealer tells me that I need to purchase a new bracket for each side to hold these sides in their correct place? He said that the brackets have built-in clips. Is this my only option? Can this work be done by a Do-it-yurselfer?

Thanks, Vicki Versa

Good thing i came up with this thread...Anyway, i would like to apologize for the disturbance having this thread bumped but just a heads up with this topic. I recently have the same thing but i would not waste my effort putting up those side section but i have no idea how much would it cost getting it repaired to the mechanic..Anyone has experience on the same thing?

As was said its pretty easy to change.

I have the same problem on my drivers side, from hitting a dog. The problem is, because the bumper covers are so cheap, even a relatively low impact (i.e. someone bumping into you in a parking lot) can damage the part on the bumper that clips into those brackets. I changed the brackets on mine but the bumper still just won't fit right.
