Go along with her and have them get it checked out. Let them know what your situation is and how the engine doesn't accelerate. They will run the codes and see what is coming up. Water might have got into the engine and already done some damage.
I hope you aren't being a smart ass. Not every one here on this forum would find that funny. They've got a problem, and it seems you think it's ok to be smart about it. If you wrote lol or something like Hschlick84 wrote at the end of that sentence it wouldn't be so bad, but that just sounds rude.Put it in drive.
I wonder how this story ended................... and what was wrong with the carMy daughter has a 2008 Versa. She is in college and drove to work the Thursday all was fine.Someone cam in and told her that she needed to move her car water was around it it was raining heavily. She moved car she told me water was just below door. After work drove a few miles to eat then back to dorm all was fine. She gets ready to leave for one reason or another Friday and car will start and run fine but will not rev up or accelerate. She states service engine light is now on.She states it sounds fine idling.Plan to get towed to dealership Monday but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Please advise I am 200 miles away and do not want her taken advantage of being a young lady.
