2008 Versa Hatch

Replaced resonator and muffler a few months back. Now the flange from the cat to the resonator let go, cleanly.

The cat pipe is in great shape.

Looks to be a 2 1/8 cat pipe (I measured by converting circumference to diameter, didn't have caliper on me).

Bolt spacing looks to be 4.25".

Anyone do this before, can you confirm parts?

I know the flange is for flex but I am considering cutting both flanges off and just running muffler pipe across both with some clamps.

Anyone have experience with this fix?

Haven't experienced this per se, but have seen much Nissan exhaust weld failures/rust issues.

Replacement flanges are available aftermarket. One of those could be welded on. I'd be reluctant to cut off the other flange and use clamps, as the heat will fatigue them rapidly.
