Hey.
I was driving out of work and my intermediate steering shaft disconnected for no apparent reason.
I ended up getting the shaft connected back on the rack (that sticks up behind the pedals).
The wheel was turned while the shaft was disconnected.
How am I suppose to get the U Joint all the way on the rack shaft and get the pinch bolt on?
When the rack shaft is all the way in the u joint, the pinch bolt will not go in entirely, the holes don't line up.
When it is partially on (near the top) the pinch bolt will go in, but the u joint is unable to go further down the shaft.
What am I missing?
Thanks.
